Biography
Sanjay Behura is a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago, United States.. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (2014-2016) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, United States. He received his Ph.D. (2014) from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, India which includes a 9-month research exchange at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada under Commonwealth Scholarship and 1-week Ph.D. summer course on 'Challenges in 2D Materials' at the Technical University of Denmark under DST (Govt. of India) Young Scientist Travel Support. Dr. Behura has published several peer-reviewed research papers in high impact journals and filed U.S. patents in the area of 2D nanomaterials science and engineering. He is member of prestigious scientific societies including: American Physical Society, Electrochemical Society, and Materials Research Society.
Research Interest
He majors in materials physics with primary focus on integrating low-dimensional materials including graphene, boron nitride, transition metal dichalcogenides, nanotubes, and nanowires to leverage the potential device functionality including nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, and energy harvesting devices.
