Dr. Adel M. Al Taweel, P. Eng. holds a Ph.D. and MSc. in Chem. Eng. from the Univ. of Colorado, and a B.Sc. in Chem. Eng. from the Univ. of Alexandria. He taught/conducted research at several international universities (Asst. Prof., Alexandria Univ.; Res. Fellow, KIT D; Res. Assoc., UNB CA; Assoc. Prof., KSU, Riyadh SA; Assoc. Prof./Prof. TUNS, Halifax CA; Prof. Dalhousie Univ., Halifax CA; Prog. Prof. UTT, T&T; Adj. Prof. Dalhousie Univ., CA). He was also a visiting professor at: NSPower Inc; Canadian Fuel Processing Labs, Edmonton CA; and UWI, St. Augustine T&T, where he helped establish the Env. Eng. Master’s Program). He also provided leadership for several academic/research/business organizations (Dept. head, TUNS; Research Center Director, KSU, Riyadh SA; General Manager, Al Kawther Water Treatment, Jeddah SA; Assoc. Principal DALTECH, Halifax CA; Leader, UNBIO Project, UTT T&T; Leader, Natural Gas Inst. of the Americas, T&T). He also served as an external examiner at 13 different universities.He is/was a member of the editorial boards for 7 journals and provides reviews for over 30 leading technical journals. His scientific output includes a 300+ publications, reviews, conference presentations, keynotes, plenaries and invited lectures, 1 patent and 3 book chapters.
