Dr Abbas Amini is an assistant professor at Western Sydney University and Australian College of ACK, and the member of graduate supervisory board. After obtaining PhD, he conducted research with other Australian universities, as a postdoctoral research fellow at Monash and Deakin Universities, and as a senior research fellow at the University of Melbourne. His fine outcomes have been presented in high impact factor journals, e.g., Nature publication group, and a recent published book in 2016. Abbas is the editor of ten reputed journals, and the committee member of 20 international conferences.

Dr. Shafigh Mehraeen, is an assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC). He received his B.Sc. in Structural Engineering at the University of Tehran, Iran. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University in 2008 and 2011, respectively. After two-year postdoctoral career at the Center for Organic Electronics in Georgia Institute of Technology, he received the MIT-SUTD postdoctoral fellowship. He worked in the Chemistry Department at MIT, where he received MIT Ascher Shapiro Award for excellence in educational prowess. He joined the Chemical Engineering Faculty at UIC as an assistant professor in 2016.

His research has focused on developing new methods and computational models to explore dynamics of directed self-assembly of sub-10 nm particles with single particle positioning resolution, predict the role of donor-acceptor interfacial properties on charge generation and energy losses in organic photovoltaics, and unravel the impact of materials disorder on charge transport properties of organic semiconductors. Dr. Mehraeen has authored 20 peer-reviewed articles, 1 patent, 1 book, and 1 book chapter in the areas of statistical thermodynamics, self-assembly, charge transport in light-harvesting systems and solar-photochemistry.

Dr. Hosseini has earned both his PhD and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron, in Ohio, USA. He has also completed an MSE degree in Manufacturing Engineering at UTRGV in Texas, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Hosseini has edited book and book chapters, co-invented patents application technologies, and authored multiple peer reviewed research articles. He has served as a key speaker at multiple national and international conferences and meetings and has been actively engaged in technology development. He is a persistent reviewer of several leading international journals.

Dr. Hosseini’s research interests include biofuels and bioenergy, bioprocess engineering and development, sustainability, biomanufacturing, bio/nanomaterials, bio/nanotechnology, smart polymers, and synthesis of nanoparticles for biomedical, environmental, and health applications.

Viva Cundliffe has her expertise in pioneering remediation science and inventing remediation technology in the field of abandoned atmospheric emissions. Her point source management approach creates new pathways for improving health outcomes. She has built this model after years of experience in research, analysis, technology prototyping, modeling and testing both on the bench and in small pilot systems in her company. Her Contingency Plan work on the Ozone Layer and Global Warming is the subject of her MA and PhD.

Dr. Conly Hansen has completed his PhD in Agricultural Engineering from The Ohio State University and joined as a Project Engineer for United States Army (discharged as Captain). At present, he is working as a Professor and Graduate Program Director at Center for Profitable Uses of Agricultural Byproducts, USA. He has published more than 56 research articles in reputed journals along with 6 book chapters; and presented more than 38 presentations with abstracts in national/international conference/symposia. He has around 14 significant honors on his name.

Dr. Mohammed Kuddus has completed his PhD in Enzyme Biotechnology from SHIATS, Allahabad and joined Integral University, India in 2007. At present, he is working as an Associate Professor and Chairman of Biochemistry at University of Hail, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Kuddus’s main research area includes enzyme engineering and microbial biotechnology. He has published more than 50 research articles in reputed journals along with 7 book chapters; and presented more than 35 abstracts in national/international conference/symposia. He has been serving as an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of various international reputed journals; and worked as organizing committee member for 6 international conferences/symposia. Provided proven leadership and vision with broader perspectives and able to manage multiple tasks and personnel on mega projects. For last 7 years he has been consulting in Upstream, midstream, transfer of oil/gas by pumping, petrochemicals with NOC’s, major oil and petrochemical corporations including management consulting organizations like BCG, Bain Consulting group and so many other organizations. He have been providing consulting in operations, training of facilities engineering, technology, Catalysts application and development/formulations, acquisitions, alliances, operations and corrosion in most of Oil and gas industry areas.

M. R. Riazi received a doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) and is the author of 150 publications including 6 books in the areas of oil, gas, coal and biofuel characterization, production and processing. In addition he has over 100 conference presentations and about 100 invited lectures and workshops for the petroleum industry in more than 40 countries. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Penn State as well as Visiting Professor / Scholar in the Departments of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the following universities: Illinois/Chicago, Texas/Austin, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim), McGill (Montreal), Waterloo, and some other universities in US, India and Middle East. He is a professor and former chairman of Chemical Engineering at Kuwait University and is the Editor-in-Chief of IJOGCT. As a result of his work, Dr. Riazi has been honored as the recipient the following awards: Diploma of Honor from United States National Petroleum Engineering Society for the Outstanding Contributions to the Petroleum Industry, KU Outstanding Research and Teaching Awards (received from former Amir of Kuwait) and was an elected Fellow of American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Dr. Habil. Denis SPITZER received his PHD in physical chemistry in 1993 at the University Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg. He is the founding and current Director of the NS3E Research Laboratory UMR 3208 ISL/CNRS/UNISTRA.He is the inventor of the SFE process. He is the author of more than 150 publications and scientific reports. He received in 2013 the award of strategic thinking given by the French Homeland Minister, and more recently, in 2015, the « Grand Prix Lazare Carnot » award of the French Academy of Science, for dual use research.

He conducts research in continuous nanoscrystallization processes of organic Nano materials such as model medicament and energetic materials.

Sean is Assis/Prof. at the Department of Chemical& Process Engineering of Canterbury University, NZ with experience and backgrounds in Bioengineering, mathematical modelling, energy and sustainability. He did both his B.S and M.S at the School of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering of Shiraz University, Iran and is a PhD graduate of The Laboratory for Sustainable Technology at Sydney University, Australia. For a couple of years his focus was mainly on improving the performance of key-naphtha reformers at oil refineries and later shifted his research and attention to nano-material development for sustainable energy applications. He has work experience in gas companies and strong devotion and passion to industries. Sean has been the author and co-author of several research papers and also peer reviewer for AIChE, International Journal of Energy Research, Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering and others.

Maulin P. Shah, currently Chief Scientist & Head – Industrial Waste Water Research Lab, Division of Applied and Environmental Microbiology Lab at Enviro Technology Ltd., Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India, received his Ph.D. (2002-2005) in Environmental Microbiology from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, INDIA. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Godhra, Gujarat University in 2001. He is a Microbial Biotechnologist with diverse research interest. A group of research scholars is working under his guidance on the areas ranging from Applied Microbiology, Environmental Biotechnology, Bioremediation, and Industrial Liquid Waste Management to solid state fermentation. His work has been focused to assess the impact of industrial pollution on microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation dependant and cultivation independent analysis. Dr. Fenniri received all his degrees from the Université de Strasbourg, France. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, CA, USA, he moved to Purdue University, IN, USA, where he initiated his independent academic career, and established the Purdue Laboratory for Chemical Nanotechnology (1999). In 2003, He joined the National Research Council as a founding member of the National Institute for Nanotechnology and as professor of chemistry and bioengineering at the University of Alberta (Canada, 2003-2013). Dr. Fenniri is currently Professor of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA.

Dr. Fenniri’s contributions appeared in over 220 publications, 20 patents and patent applications, and over 500 contributed national and international conference papers. Dr. Fenniri has also lectured extensively around the globe and has been an invited professor at several institutes and universities.

Professor Anne S. Meyer is Professor and Head of Center for BioProcess Engineering within the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She holds an MSc from the University of Copenhagen, and an MSc from the University of Reading, UK, plus a PhD from the Technical University of Denmark. She has had two postdoc stays in the USA at UC Davis. In 1998 she was promoted to Associate Professor of Biotechnology/Enzyme Technology at DTU. She assumed her current role as Full Professor of BioProcess Engineering in 2006 and was simultaneously appointed Head of Section BioProcess Engineering, Dept. of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, DTU. Her research is usually done in large collaboration programmes including industrial collaboration both internationally and nationally, and she has PI and leadership experience from several such projects. Distinctions and awards: 2005: Danisco Research Award. 2008: Grundfos Denmark Research Innovation Award. 2011: DTU PhD Supervisor of the Year. She has published more than 250 peers reviewed papers within the field of enzyme catalysis, enzyme kinetics, biomass conversion, biocatalytic carbohydrate synthesis, bioprocess technology and agroindustrial refining technology- she currently has more than 8000 ISI Thomson citations and a Web-of-Science h-index of 48.

Her research area focuses on design and development of bioprocesses with Biocatalysis Kinetics, Enzyme Technology, and Integrated Separation Technology as core research discipline areas at the Technical University of Denmark.

Sanjay Behura is a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago, United States.. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (2014-2016) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, United States. He received his Ph.D. (2014) from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, India which includes a 9-month research exchange at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada under Commonwealth Scholarship and 1-week Ph.D. summer course on 'Challenges in 2D Materials' at the Technical University of Denmark under DST (Govt. of India) Young Scientist Travel Support. Dr. Behura has published several peer-reviewed research papers in high impact journals and filed U.S. patents in the area of 2D nanomaterials science and engineering. He is member of prestigious scientific societies including: American Physical Society, Electrochemical Society, and Materials Research Society.

He majors in materials physics with primary focus on integrating low-dimensional materials including graphene, boron nitride, transition metal dichalcogenides, nanotubes, and nanowires to leverage the potential device functionality including nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, and energy harvesting devices.

Dr. Tieli (Tilly) Wang obtained her Ph.D. from State University of New York at Stony Brook where she worked on elucidating the mechanisms of protein-protein and protein-membrane interaction to help identify the small molecules or peptides that can inhibit the G-protein regulated signal transduction pathways. She then undertook a postdoctoral fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center Philadelphia in 1999. As a Beckman fellow, she joined Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope National Medical Center in 2001. After 4 years, she accepted a position at California State University Dominguez Hills as an assistant professor. She was promoted to associated professor in 2010 and full professor in 2015. She was elected as an associate director for the southwest comprehensive colleges of Sigma Xi Scientific Society of USA in 2014. Currently, she is the chair of Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and working with department members and a group of students on therapeutic development against cancer resistance to the chemo and radiotherapy using crossdisciplinary approaches which combine proteomics with chemistry, biochemistry, biology and biophysics techniques. Her expertise in proteomics and experimental therapeutics has been utilized for undergraduate and graduate training and campus resources. Through inter-disciplinary approaches, she has mentored students majoring in chemistry, biology and clinical chemistry. Students she mentored have given award winning presentations in the past years at the local and regional meetings.

During the past decades, the focus of my research is to study the mechanism by which cancer cells become resistant to the chemotherapy in order to develop novel strategies to advance cancer treatment. The major focus of my current research is to study the post-translational modification of the proteins especially histone associated proteins and their potential roles in rendering cancer cells resistant to the therapeutic treatments. Interference with this alteration could result in the identification of an alternative chemo-sensitizing factors and guidance to the rational treatment regimens to modulate chemoresistance. The project promises to make a contribution to the development of novel anticancer agents and to the graduate and undergraduate student research training.

Dr. Shiv Kant Shukla has done MSc and PhD (Biotechnology) with specialization in plant biotechnology.At present Dr. Shukla is heading the NCS-TCP Management Cell of DBT, GoI, Indo-Afirca Project on Plant Tissue Culture and working for Biotech Parks of many State governments. He has been instrumental in setting up National Certification System for Tissue Culture Plants (NCS-TCP) in the country.

He has more than 17 years of diversified experience covering research, production of tissue culture plants, field extension, quality management, biotech parks, technology transfer, administration and management of science projects. Dr. Shukla has more than 50 publications, chaired/delivered 12 invited speeches. He has organized 10 Entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) and 18 conferences.

“Jules Thibault obtained his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1973 and his PhD from McMaster in 1978. He then spent 7 years in the Canadian Armed Forces prior joining Laval university in 1984. In 2000, he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa.

. Professor Foster has co-authored 320 scholarly articles and is a named inventor on 5 granted patents in the drug delivery IP landscape. Professor Foster has supervised and mentored 23 Early Career researchers, 34 PhD students, 15 Masters students and approximately 100 Honours research students. Professor Foster has also been involved at senior management level in the pharmaceutical industry, in both public and private sectors. His creativity and courage in identifying and pursuing new frontiers in drug delivery systems, and translating these concepts into commercialization have been clearly demonstrated.

Professor Foster has made a significant contribution to his research field over a sustained period of time. The impact and contribution of Professor Foster’s work have been recognised with several honours and awards. In 2014, he was accorded the Honour of being elected a Fellow of the European Academy for Science and the Arts – he is one of only 3 Australians who are currently Fellows of this prestigious Academy. In 2010, the Central Organisation Committee of the People’s Republic of China bestowed on Professor Foster the honour of a National Professorship under the auspices of the Qian Ren 1000 Talents programme. At the time of the award he was one of only 4 non-National Chinese to be so recognised.

Dr. Prabir Patra is a Professor and Founding Chair, Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Bridgeport, USA. He holds joint appointment as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Prabir has a PhD in Materials Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, India. Prabir did his postdoctoral work at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Rice University on biomaterials and nanotechnology respectively. The focus of his research is to understand the fundamentals of biophysical science processes at a nano-scale and apply their underlying principles to develop advanced materials through structure, property and function relationships for novel nanotechnology driven biomedical engineering applications
